When people choose to convert to the Catholic Church they go through a program called RCIA or Rites for Christian Initiation of Adults. This is a large commitment and deserves to be recognized. Praying the Rosary is new to many converts and a traditional gift often given to commemorate the occasion of their conversion and the ceremony where they are invited into the church community is a rosary.
